Goldene Gans
Goldene Gans is a riverside beer garden beside Würzburg’s Old Main Bridge, with the river before you and Marienberg Fortress beyond the stone crossing. Tables, glasses, and the open view connect the setting to movement across the bridge.
The house brewery began making its own beer in 1989, reviving a tavern tradition of brewing locally. Its beers follow the Bavarian Purity Law of 1516 and remain naturally cloudy and unfiltered. Helles, Pils, Hefeweizen, and seasonal beers such as Maibock come from the tap without heat pasteurisation or bottling.
The seasonal garden changes with outdoor conditions, but the view keeps its focus: bridge, river, and fortress frame the tables. In your glass, the cloudiness makes the brewing method visible.

The myTuur app is free, and once you are standing at a spot its story starts by itself.
Spots like this one are the stops myTuur strings into tours through Würzburg. In the app, each story begins where you stand: walk up to a spot and it starts, read it on screen or listen as you go, then follow the route to the next one.
What is myTuur?
myTuur is a free city-guide app. Its tours are built from spots, and each spot carries a story that starts when you get there, to read or to listen to as you like.
