The city you read about starts talking.

myTuur covers more than 500 cities, from Budapest to Blaubeuren, and it walks every one of them with you. Arrive at a spot and its story starts by itself: about three or four minutes of narration, with the written word and the photos beside it. Ask Tuurix anything along the way, out loud or in writing. And because a city is more than its soundtrack, myTuur also points out what you would otherwise walk straight past.

Walk in, and the story finds you

myTuur tours lead through the galleries, theatres and old quarters of more than 500 cities, from Budapest outward. You stroll in at your own pace. Wherever you stop, the story knows where you are and begins.

  1. 01

The story starts on its own

Walk up to a spot and the narration starts on its own: about three or four minutes, hands free, eyes on the paintings. In a quiet hall, that means no huddle around a placard, just you and the room.

  2. 02

Hold the phone up, and it knows

Point the camera at an exhibit or a building and its story opens. The recognition runs on the phone itself, and it never depends on a label being in a language you read.

  3. 03

Through the phone, you see more

At supported spots, the phone adds an overlay to whatever stands in front of you, so the thing you came for shows more of itself while you stand there looking at it.

Ask about anything above your head

Tuurix answers as many questions as you have, out loud or in writing, during the tour and long after it. It knows what stands in front of you and where you are heading next. The app speaks 21 languages, and its stories are told in a growing set of them.

you, out loud

How long did all of this take?

Tuurix

Nobody wrote the years down, which is its own answer: a ceiling like this was a working life, not a weekend. Before you move on, find the small painted bird tucked into the corner on your left.

you, typing

Spotted it. Why is it hiding there?

Tuurix

Painters tucked small creatures into big ceilings when a full signature felt too bold: a quiet signature, of sorts. Round the corner to your left, the same hand turns up again above the side door.

One city, told at every height

Every story also comes in a version made for children and one in plain language, so nobody gets the shortened adult telling. The tour keeps the pace of the whole group, on foot, by bike or by car. Everyone hears the same city at the same time, each at their own level.

the full version

The bridge crosses the Bega where the water runs slow and green, and its iron railings have been polished smooth by generations of leaning elbows.

Look down: the Bega moves so slowly that the clouds lie down on it, and the bridge holds still like an iron dragon so everyone can cross.

This bridge goes over the river Bega. It is made of iron. People have walked across it for a very long time. It is strong and safe.

clear, calm, easy to follow

Keep the best, pass it on

Save the bench under the chestnut trees, the bridge where the pigeons gather, the café with the wobbly chairs. Then send the tour on, and next weekend someone you love walks the same streets.

One walk, every listener

Your seven-year-old hears the dragon version, your mother reads the calm one, and you take the full telling. Nobody waits, nobody misses out, and the group still turns the same corner together.

No signal. The whole tour stays.

Download the tour while you still have a connection, and it waits quietly in your pocket. A ferry deck off the Atlantic, a gorge path above the Douro, a vault under an old church: none of them has signal, and none of it matters. The story plays anyway.

Wander, and the city talks

Explorer mode asks for no plan at all. Take whichever street looks good, and the spots near you surface with their stories as you pass. Aimlessness is half the point.

The tour comes on the drive

Turn-by-turn guidance works for driving just as it does for walking and cycling, and on iOS the next instruction waits on your lock screen. Park, and the tour steps out with you.

The city as it is today

In supported regions the tour sees live parking, and it knows what is on nearby today. So the afternoon begins at the event, not in a slow circle of the harbour streets.
