Carolus-Brunnen
Carolus-Brunnen to żelazna rzeźba we Frankfurcie, przedstawiająca Karola Wielkiego przy Wendelsplatz w dzielnicy Sachsenhausen. Autorem tej rzeźby jest frankfurcki artysta Fritz Boehle. Boehle był niemieckim malarzem, rysownikiem i rzeźbiarzem, który szczególnie interesował się postaciami, zwierzętami oraz końmi. Studiował w Städelsches Kunstinstitut we Frankfurcie. Jego twórczość pozostawała pod wpływem prac Albrechta Dürera i zachowywała tradycyjny styl.
Projekt powstał pierwotnie jako fontanna pomnikowa dla nowego mostu na Menie. Zamierzony most nie otrzymał jednak tej rzeźby. Z pierwotnego planu zachował się tylko plastelinowy model dzieła. Binding-Brauerei odlał rzeźbę z żelaza, a następnie ustawił ją przed swoim budynkiem administracyjnym. Później obiekt przeniesiono na obecne miejsce przy Wendelsplatz. Fontanna nie wypuszcza już wody, ponieważ jej misa wypełnia się ziemią i roślinami. Carolus-Brunnen trafił także na etykietę mocnego piwa Carolus należącego do Binding-Brauerei. Obiekt należy do kategorii sztuki i ma oznaczenie dostępności dla osób poruszających się na wózkach.
