Carolus-Brunnen
Carolus-Brunnen là một tác phẩm nghệ thuật công cộng tại Wendelsplatz, thuộc khu Sachsenhausen của Frankfurt. Tác phẩm do nghệ sĩ Fritz Boehle sáng tạo.
Pho tượng khắc họa Charlemagne, vị hoàng đế còn được gọi là Karl Đại đế. Ban đầu, công trình được dự định đặt bên cây cầu Main mới.
Kế hoạch ấy không thành hiện thực, và chỉ còn lại một mẫu tượng bằng plastilin. Binding-Brauerei cho đúc pho tượng bằng sắt.
Sau đó, tượng được đặt trước tòa nhà hành chính của nhà máy bia ở Sachsenhausen. Về sau, tượng được chuyển đến Wendelsplatz, vị trí hiện nay.
Đài phun nước không còn chảy, nhưng bồn chứa đất để cây cối phát triển. Địa điểm này có lối tiếp cận cho xe lăn.
Boehle từng học tại Städelschеs Kunstinstitut ở Frankfurt và chịu ảnh hưởng từ Albrecht Dürer. Ông đặc biệt quan tâm đến người, động vật và ngựa.
Phong cách truyền thống của Boehle gắn tác phẩm với lịch sử nghệ thuật Frankfurt và Sachsenhausen. Carolus-Brunnen cũng từng xuất hiện trên nhãn bia mạnh Carolus.
