Carolus-Brunnen
O Carolus-Brunnen é uma obra de arte pública em Frankfurt, junto à Wendelsplatz, no bairro de Sachsenhausen. O artista Fritz Boehle criou esta estátua de ferro. A figura representa Carlos Magno, num monumento inicialmente pensado para decorar uma ponte sobre o Meno. O projeto original para a ponte acabou por não avançar. Um modelo em plasticina permaneceu até a obra ser fundida em ferro e instalada diante da administração da Binding-Brauerei. Mais tarde, a estátua chegou à Wendelsplatz em Frankfurt. O tanque da fonte está cheio de terra e acolhe plantas, embora a água já não corra. A água já não corre nesta fonte. A presença da estátua ficou associada à Binding-Brauerei e à cerveja Carolus. A peça deu nome à cerveja forte Carolus. Boehle estudou no Städelschches Kunstinstitut e recebeu influência das obras de Albrecht Dürer. O local tem acesso para pessoas em cadeira de rodas.
