Dölitzer Wassermühle
Dölitzer Wassermühle stands in southern Leipzig as the city’s last preserved watermill and a protected technical monument. Parts of its original milling technology remain. Several historic buildings surround the mill courtyard, including Breunsdorfhaus, Dahlitzschhaus, Obermüllerhaus, Vollhardthaus, and Mühlpleißehaus.
Since 1992, volunteer work has helped preserve the mill and its surrounding buildings. A historical mill museum explains the machinery, the work of milling, and the site’s place in local history. Environmental programmes explore grain, bread, sheep, wool, honey, and bees. Guided walks connect the grounds with old Dölitz, its early nineteenth-century culture, and stories such as a bottle bearing Polish writing.
Culture continues through the Mühlengalerie in Vollhardthaus, seasonal cinema, an Advent market, and community events. The reactivated water power plant operates alongside photovoltaic systems and geothermal heating. Children can bake cookies in a clay oven during the Advent market.

The myTuur app is free, and once you are standing at a spot its story starts by itself.
Spots like this one are the stops myTuur strings into tours through Leipzig. In the app, each story begins where you stand: walk up to a spot and it starts, read it on screen or listen as you go, then follow the route to the next one.
What is myTuur?
myTuur is a free city-guide app. Its tours are built from spots, and each spot carries a story that starts when you get there, to read or to listen to as you like.
