Braumanufaktur
Braumanufaktur is an organic brewery and restaurant in Potsdam, pairing handcrafted beer with rustic German cooking in one setting. It occupies historic Forsthaus Templin, a building dating from the eighteenth century. Large chestnut trees shade the beer garden, placing outdoor seating beside the old house and its surrounding greenery. Families find a playground and petting zoo there.
Two brewmasters founded the operation in 2003, establishing a brewing tradition within the eighteenth-century setting. The operation received Naturland certification in 2006. Organic ingredients shape the range, including Brandenburg barley in the regional Potsdamer Stange, a local specialty. Its unfiltered character keeps the beer’s taste natural.
The attached restaurant serves traditional German dishes, linking the brewing setting with hearty food and a cosy dining room. Private dining areas sit on the upper floor. Treberbrot, wild goulash and Beerkutschersteak appear among the restaurant’s traditional German dishes.
