Ponte di Rialto
Ponte di Rialto bắc qua Kênh đào Grand ở Venice, Italy, tại vị trí hẹp nhất của tuyến đường thủy chính thành phố. Đây là cây cầu cổ nhất trong bốn cây cầu vượt Kênh đào Grand, nối khu Rialto buôn bán với San Marco chính trị. Hai lối dốc có mái che dẫn lên hành lang trung tâm, còn các dãy cửa hàng chạy dọc hai bên.
Cây cầu đầu tiên tại đây là cầu phao Ponte della Moneta, xuất hiện khoảng năm 1173. Năm 1255, cầu phao nhường chỗ cho cầu gỗ, rồi những lần cháy và sụp đổ thúc đẩy Venice xây dựng công trình bằng đá. Antonio da Ponte thiết kế cây cầu hiện nay, được thi công từ năm 1588 đến năm 1591.
Vòm đá đơn trải rộng khoảng 28 mét và cao 7,5 mét, đủ cho thuyền cùng các tàu buýt đường thủy đi qua. Hàng nghìn cọc gỗ giữ các mố cầu trên nền đất bồi mềm dưới hai bờ kênh. Từ hành lang trung tâm, bạn nhìn thấy Kênh đào Grand kéo dài theo cả hai hướng, giữa dòng thuyền và nhịp sống thương mại của Venice.
