Bewegung II (2)
מול הבית הקטן של תיאטרון המדינה של וירטמברג, ברובע המרכז של שטוטגרט, ניצב פסל בשם Bewegung II. את היצירה המופשטת הזאת יצר האמן הווינאי ונדר ברטוני. הפסל עשוי פלדת אל-חלד, הידועה גם בשם נירו, וממדיו 8 על 4 על 4 מטרים.
ברטוני תכנן את העבודה בין 1960 ל-1961, והיא נחנכה במהלך תערוכת הגינון הפדרלית, ה-Bundesgartenschau, של אותה שנה. הרעיון שהנחה אותו היה לתת למושג המופשט של התנועה גוף מוחשי. גם ההצבה במרחב הציבורי נשאה מסר: שטוטגרט ביקשה להציג את עצמה כעיר בינלאומית ופתוחת לב.
הבעלות על העבודה מסורה ל-Vermögen und Bau Baden-Württemberg, הגוף האחראי על נכסי מדינת באדן-וירטמברג ועל הבנייה שלה. העיר רואה בעבודות מהסוג הזה דרך להעשיר את הנוף התרבותי שלה ולהנגיש אמנות לכל אדם. הדמות המופשטת הזאת, הראשונה שהעיר הציבה במרחב הפומבי שלה, ממתינה שם לכל עובר בלי כרטיס ובלי שעות.
