Schloßhof Eller
Schloßhof Eller is a family-run farm in Düsseldorf, where the Schulze Hagen family has worked since 1901. Around 14,000 chickens provide eggs from free-range and barn-raised systems, while mobile outdoor areas give the land time to recover.
The farm also follows the brother-rooster concept, which prevents male chicks from being culled. Its shop occupies a modernised old barn and brings together eggs, regional and organic goods, potatoes from Düsseldorf-Himmelgeist, apples from nearby Kaarst, and honey from a long-term partner in Solingen. A small women’s clothing boutique adds an unexpected detail, while seasonal festivals bring visitors to the farm.
