Caféhaus Brückenbäck

Caféhaus Brückenbäck brings the river into its interior through broad panoramic windows. From about 120 indoor seats, you look towards the historic bridge and the old town across the water, while the terrace adds around 20 outdoor places.

The café opened in 1981 inside a former car dealership showroom, turning a space for selling and displaying cars into a meeting place. Paul Seitz joined as co-owner in 2006, and the river view became central to the atmosphere shaped with restaurant manager Stefan Diehl. After renovation, Brückenbäck reopened on 26 April 2025 under Brückenbäck GmbH.

Regional wine and beer share the drinks menu with cocktails, aperitifs, and alcohol-free options. You can also carry a drink onto the bridge with a glass deposit, linking the café directly to the public space outside. Through the windows, water, crossing pedestrians, changing light, and the historic bridge remain in constant view.
