Casal Solleric
Casal Solleric stands on Palma’s Born as an eighteenth-century manor house and contemporary art centre. Its baroque façade faces the former streambed, while five arches form a loggia above the promenade.
Miquel Vallès d’Almadrà i Orlandis transformed several older houses after inheriting them in 1764. The merchant had built his fortune trading olive oil with Puerto Rico, Havana, and Marseille. Gaspar Palmer oversaw the construction, while Antonio Soldati created the decorative ironwork and sculpture. Italian details appear across the façade, courtyard, gallery ceiling, and marquess’s bathroom. Three levels contain former carriage houses, an entresol, and twenty-nine rooms on the noble floor, including bedrooms, dining rooms, a kitchen-laundry area, and a chapel.
A rectangular courtyard brings pink marble columns and the old carriage houses into view. The city acquired the building in 1975 and restored it during the 1980s and 1990s. Today, exhibitions focus mainly on contemporary art, with past artists including Joan Miró, Josep Guinovart, Robert Motherwell, and Mallorcan creators.

The myTuur app is free, and once you are standing at a spot its story starts by itself.
Spots like this one are the stops myTuur strings into tours through Palma de Mallorca. In the app, each story begins where you stand: walk up to a spot and it starts, read it on screen or listen as you go, then follow the route to the next one.
