Oratorio di San Ludovico
El Oratorio di San Ludovico es una pequeña iglesia del siglo XVI en Venecia, dentro del distrito de Dorsoduro. Su escala sobria contrasta con los grandes templos venecianos y conserva la huella de una institución benéfica.
El espacio acogía originalmente a doce hombres mayores sin esposa ni hijos, que encontraban allí un hogar para sus últimos años. Desde 1996, la asociación cultural Nuova Icona organiza exposiciones y actividades artísticas entre sus muros.
Las instalaciones contemporáneas incluyen vídeo, sonido y performances de artistas como Nástio Mosquito y Jinny Yu. Durante la Biennale di Venezia, también ha recibido obras como One Million Years (Reading), de On Kawara, con voluntarios leyendo fechas de un millón de años hacia el pasado y el futuro. El oratorio forma parte del recorrido artístico San Trovaso–Zattere–IUAV, donde la arquitectura histórica de Dorsoduro se encuentra con la creación contemporánea.
