Böfinger Schlössle
Böfinger Schlössle stands in Böfingen, a district of Ulm, Germany, as a historic architectural landmark. The patrician Löw built this robust late Renaissance structure in 1587.
Earlier history surrounds the site: Böfingen’s former castle was destroyed around 1376, while Alamannic settlements and burial grounds date from about 400 to 700 AD. In 2003, construction work uncovered an Alamannic cemetery containing around 70 graves, with the archaeological finds preserved in Tübingen. After 1957, Braunland Böfingen brought rapid residential development, placing the historic building within a changing urban landscape.
