Can Prunera
Can Prunera is a museum in Sóller, Mallorca, housed in an early twentieth-century building shaped by Catalan and French Art Nouveau. Its restored façade and ornate interiors show modernist design through carved details, period furniture, paintings, and sculptures.
The ground and main floors preserve tables, chairs, beds, wardrobes, and display cabinets within rooms that also host exhibitions. Upstairs, “From Art Nouveau to the Twenty-First Century” presents works mainly from the Serra Art Collection. The collection grew through donations from private collectors and artists, while temporary exhibitions bring changing perspectives.
In the basement, former botigues retain an old stove, an olive-oil tank, a well, and the staff dining room. The same spaces include a gallery devoted to Juli Ramis. His early, cubist, and abstract periods appear alongside temporary displays, connecting local work with wider artistic currents. Outside, sculptures fill a garden overlooking the rear façade.
