Reporting House

Reporting House is a museum in Kosovo that examines the country’s war through journalism, photography, media artefacts, and contemporary art. Its subject is the modern history of Kosovo and its people. The exhibition follows conflict from peaceful resistance and political tensions to the emergence of the Kosovo Liberation Army. It connects journalism with the public record of Kosovo’s conflict. Visitors encounter work by journalists and photographers alongside artistic responses to the war’s later impact. The displays show how media helped shape understanding of Kosovo’s history.

Reporting House also presents digitised footage associated with journalist Jeta Xharra’s early career during the Serbian offensive in Prekaz. Journalist Jeta Xharra founded the project in Kosovo. Artist Gazmend Ejupi curates the exhibition and brings a Kosovo-British perspective to its artistic presentation. The museum places journalism, images, and creative work together for a focused view of Kosovo’s past. The presentation traces the path from resistance in the nineties through war and NATO airstrikes to independence. It also shows later artistic interpretations of that history.
