Villa Arndt
Villa Arndt stands in Potsdam’s Nauener Vorstadt as a two-storey, rendered villa. Its architecture reflects the period between 1860 and 1861, when Ferdinand von Arnim designed the building and August Ernst Petzholtz carried out its construction.
Max Arndt, a royal chamberlain, owned the property from 1884, giving it the name it carries today. In 1964, Potsdam’s police took ownership, and after German reunification, the State of Brandenburg became responsible for it. Police operations once used the building, including Potsdam North police station, while extensive restoration in the early 1990s renewed its historic fabric.
Ferdinand von Arnim brought the influence of Karl Friedrich Schinkel to this Potsdam villa, where architecture and changing public use meet.

The myTuur app is free, and once you are standing at a spot its story starts by itself.
Spots like this one are the stops myTuur strings into tours through Potsdam. In the app, each story begins where you stand: walk up to a spot and it starts, read it on screen or listen as you go, then follow the route to the next one.
What is myTuur?
