Braunes Haus
Braunes Haus stands in the southern Neuer Garten in Potsdam, slightly southeast of the main entrance at Alleestraße. Its timber frame and distinctive hipped roof place it among the garden’s colorful houses.
The group already stood here before Neuer Garten took shape in 1787, connecting the buildings with an older landscape. Originally, these houses served as vineyard houses, reflecting the area’s earlier use for viticulture. Today, the building provides a residence for employees of the Prussian Palaces and Gardens Foundation Berlin-Brandenburg. Neuer Garten also contains the Rotes Haus, Graues Haus, Weißes Haus, and Grünes Haus.

The myTuur app is free, and once you are standing at a spot its story starts by itself.
Spots like this one are the stops myTuur strings into tours through Potsdam. In the app, each story begins where you stand: walk up to a spot and it starts, read it on screen or listen as you go, then follow the route to the next one.
What is myTuur?
myTuur is a free city-guide app. Its tours are built from spots, and each spot carries a story that starts when you get there, to read or to listen to as you like.
