Palais de l'Alma
Palais de l'Alma is a national palace in Paris's seventh arrondissement, with several buildings arranged around landscaped courtyards. Jacques-Martin Tétaz built it between 1861 and 1864 as stables for Napoleon III. A central courtyard garden, an annexed courtyard, and a southern garden shape the architectural setting.
Under the Third Republic, it became a presidential dependency in 1881 and later housed France's meteorology office. French authorities recognized the palace as a Monument historique in 2002. Official residences, presidential departments, and a gallery of gifts received during presidential travels occupy the complex.
A nursery school designed by Régis Roudil Architects uses timber and rammed earth beside surrounding greenery. François Mitterrand also used an apartment here for Anne Pingeot and their daughter, Mazarine.

The myTuur app is free, and once you are standing at a spot its story starts by itself.
Spots like this one are the stops myTuur strings into tours through Paris. In the app, each story begins where you stand: walk up to a spot and it starts, read it on screen or listen as you go, then follow the route to the next one.
What is myTuur?
