Fondation suisse
Fondation Suisse stands at the Cité Internationale Universitaire in Paris as a student residence designed by Le Corbusier and Pierre Jeanneret. Swiss students shaped its original purpose, while residents and visitors encounter a building rooted in modernist architecture.
Built between 1930 and 1931 with funding from Swiss universities, the pavilion combines a single-storey section with a slab raised on piloti. Its southern façade uses vivid colours from Le Corbusier’s evolving palette. Charlotte Perriand designed the furniture, and Le Corbusier added a large mural to the salon courbe in 1948.
That mural replaced an earlier work damaged during the Second World War. Cultural events give residents and visitors a shared setting for learning, tolerance, respect, and solidarity. Classified as a historic monument in 1986, the curved salon and elevated slab leave the clearest impression of a modern building lifted above the ground.

The myTuur app is free, and once you are standing at a spot its story starts by itself.
Spots like this one are the stops myTuur strings into tours through Paris. In the app, each story begins where you stand: walk up to a spot and it starts, read it on screen or listen as you go, then follow the route to the next one.
What is myTuur?
myTuur is a free city-guide app. Its tours are built from spots, and each spot carries a story that starts when you get there, to read or to listen to as you like.
