Arc de 115°5
Arc de 115°5 rises in a public park in Nice, where its steel form meets greenery, Mediterranean light and the urban landscape. French artist Bernar Venet created the sculpture, which has stood here since 1988. The structure reaches nineteen metres high and extends thirty-eight metres across the park. Its precise curve follows the shape of the Baie des Anges along Nice’s coast.
The angle measures 115.5 degrees, linking mathematical geometry with the bay’s natural outline. This accessible public artwork belongs to Venet’s series of monumental arcs, each shaped around a different angle. From the surrounding paths, the sweeping form frames views towards the city and sea. Its industrial steel surface gives the park a strong geometric landmark.
