Pelkovenschlössl
Pelkovenschlössl stands in Moosach, Munich, as a historic manor house with protected architectural significance. The von Pelkoven brothers built the estate in 1690.
It served as a Hofmarkschloss, linking the property with local jurisdictional privileges and the family’s social standing. The family received lower court jurisdiction in 1648.
In 1722, Johann Ernst Kajetan Anton von Pelkoven sold the manor to court official Johann Baptist von Ruffini. Klemens Hilger later acquired the property.
He added rooms and a hall, then turned the building into the Neuwirt tavern. The former Neuwirt tavern closed its doors in 1880.
The building became a nursery in 1890 before Moosach’s community purchased the Schlössl in 1910. It briefly served as a Moosach schoolhouse.
In 1926, the building became residential space, while the surrounding park returned to nursery use. A major renovation followed at the site in 2001.
The manor functions as a cultural and community centre, and the historic site has wheelchair access for visitors. The property remains a protected historical monument in Munich.
