Musiklabor
Musiklabor stands in Munich’s historic Führerbau, where the University of Music and Theatre Munich brings music, dance and theatre together. The building on Arcisstraße reflects a difficult chapter in the city’s history.
Architect Paul Troost constructed the Führerbau for the Nazi Party, and the Munich Agreement was signed there in 1938. The university traces its origins to the Royal Conservatory of Music, founded in 1846. It became a state institution in 1874 before taking its present form in 1998. Within this setting, the Musiklabor supports innovative music education through research and creative exploration. Echtzeithalle e.V. helped develop the project with the university.
You encounter a place where experimental musical work shares space with architecture marked by political history.

The myTuur app is free, and once you are standing at a spot its story starts by itself.
Spots like this one are the stops myTuur strings into tours through Munich. In the app, each story begins where you stand: walk up to a spot and it starts, read it on screen or listen as you go, then follow the route to the next one.
What is myTuur?
myTuur is a free city-guide app. Its tours are built from spots, and each spot carries a story that starts when you get there, to read or to listen to as you like.
