Moradellihaus
Moradellihaus stands at Hochbrückenstraße 8 in Munich’s Graggenauer Viertel, within the historic Altstadt. Its steep gabled roof rises above a façade redesigned by Hermann Kaspar. A half-gable dormer, locally called an Ohrwaschel, gives the roofline its distinctive detail.
Jakob Sandtner’s 1670 city model shows the building as a two-storey structure. During the seventeenth century, the townhouse grew to four storeys, reflecting the development of Old Munich architecture. World War Two damaged the building, and architect Erwin Schleich reconstructed it in 1969. The restored façade preserves the character of a traditional Old Munich townhouse.
Wooden balconies enclose the courtyard on three sides, creating the clearest view of its historic domestic design. The building appears in Bavaria’s heritage register as a protected monument.

The myTuur app is free, and once you are standing at a spot its story starts by itself.
Spots like this one are the stops myTuur strings into tours through Munich. In the app, each story begins where you stand: walk up to a spot and it starts, read it on screen or listen as you go, then follow the route to the next one.
What is myTuur?
