Boscoincittà

Boscoincittà occupies Milan’s western area as a public park stretching across more than 120 hectares. Italy’s pioneering urban forestry project began here in 1974. Dense woods, broad meadows, winding watercourses, and a small lake shape the landscape.

Around 200 urban gardens bring local citizens into the park’s daily life and cultivation. Local residents tend these gardens throughout the grounds. Italia Nostra manages the space, which also contains Cascina San Romano, an old farmhouse. The farmhouse houses a library devoted to environmental education.

Walking, picnicking, cycling, and horseback riding offer ways to experience the woods and meadows. Watercourses and the small lake add distinct views along the way.

Spots like this one are the stops myTuur strings into tours through Milan. In the app, each story begins where you stand: walk up to a spot and it starts, read it on screen or listen as you go, then follow the route to the next one.

What is myTuur?

myTuur is a free city-guide app. Its tours are built from spots, and each spot carries a story that starts when you get there, to read or to listen to as you like.
