Don Bosco
Don Bosco is a Roman Catholic parish church in Lustenau, a district of Linz in Upper Austria. The protected historic monument combines 1920s architecture with post-war reconstruction.
Matthäus Schlager built the church for the Salesians of Don Bosco between 1927 and 1928. Bombing caused heavy damage in 1944, then Adolf Litschel rebuilt and enlarged the building between 1946 and 1947. Inside, sculptor Hans Schmidinger created most of the reliefs and figures, while Gebrüder Mauracher built the organ in 1953.
Mary, Help of Christians, remains central to the church’s dedication and Salesian tradition. The parish also supports families, youth work, neighbourhood gatherings and cultural activities.
