Royal Castles of Hohenschwangau and Neuschwanstein
Ludwig II spent part of his childhood at Hohenschwangau Castle, and on the opposite hillside he had his own castle built: Neuschwanstein. The tour leads from his parents’ castle up to Neuschwanstein with its state-of-the-art castle kitchen and on to the Marienbrücke, which offers the famous view of the castle.
