Jardin exotique d'Èze
Jardin exotique d'Èze rises in the historic village of Èze, on steep ground about 429 metres above the Mediterranean Sea. Paths wind through the ruins of a medieval fortress, with views reaching the Esterel Mountains and the Gulf of Saint-Tropez. The garden took shape after the Second World War through the work of André Gianton and Jean Gastaud.
A south-facing section gathers cacti, succulents, and xerophytes from the Mediterranean, Africa, and the Americas. Cephalocereus senilis, Agave victoriae-reginae, Aloe ferox, and several Opuntia species grow among the collection. The shaded northern section brings Mediterranean and humid-region plants together with caves and a small waterfall. Information along the paths connects the plants with Èze’s artistic and historical heritage, while a zen area adds subtropical plantings, benches, and a misting waterfall.
The surviving fortress ruins date from a site destroyed in the early eighteenth century. From this elevated setting, the French Riviera unfolds beyond the plants, stone paths, and old village streets.

The myTuur app is free, and once you are standing at a spot its story starts by itself.
Spots like this one are the stops myTuur strings into tours through Èze. In the app, each story begins where you stand: walk up to a spot and it starts, read it on screen or listen as you go, then follow the route to the next one.
What is myTuur?
