Chapelle Bellini

Chapelle Bellini is a neo-baroque chapel in Cannes, set slightly away from the busy centre and surrounded by a Tuscan-inspired park. Its pink-and-white bell tower rises above an ornate façade, with a clock and decorative stucco mouldings.

Built around 1894 by Count Vitali, the chapel first belonged to Villa Fiorentina, an estate created by Lord Julian Goldsmith. In 1953, Emmanuel Bellini made it his studio. After his death in 1989, Lucette Bellini transformed the atelier into a museum, preserving easels, paintings, books, and personal belongings. A wooden staircase leads to a small gallery beneath the light-filled interior.

Bellini’s paintings show vibrant colours across circus scenes, flowers, carriages, clowns, architecture, and landscapes of Venice, Paris, Monaco, and the French Riviera. The pink-and-white tower is often likened to a lighthouse, giving this quiet corner of Cannes a memorable silhouette.
