Campo de San Basegio
Campo de San Basegio é um espaço público de Veneza, conhecido localmente como um campo. Em Veneza, um campo é uma praça de bairro. Estes espaços aparecem pelos sestieri da cidade, entre edifícios residenciais, pequenas lojas e, por vezes, igrejas. Oferecem espaço aberto entre ruas estreitas e canais. A cidade reúne campos em bairros como Cannaregio, Castello, Dorsoduro, San Polo, Santa Croce e San Marco. Cada bairro tem a sua rede de praças.
No Campo de San Basegio, encontras uma forma de espaço veneziano ligada ao quotidiano dos moradores e às pausas dos visitantes. O lugar funciona como ponto de encontro. Os campos podem receber conversas, brincadeiras infantis, bancos tranquilos e pequenos bares com petiscos venezianos chamados cicheti. Também dão acesso a ruas secundárias, pontes pequenas e recantos junto aos canais. Ao contrário da Piazza San Marco, estes campos têm geralmente uma atmosfera mais local. Campo de San Basegio apresenta assim uma porta de entrada para a malha de ruas e canais de Veneza.
