Beeldengroep

Beeldengroep is a stone sculpture by Kees Verschuren in Holtenbroek, Zwolle, Netherlands. You find this work within one of Zwolle’s residential neighbourhoods. Holtenbroek forms part of Zwolle, a city in the Dutch province of Overijssel. Its setting places the sculpture among everyday urban surroundings rather than inside a museum.

Kees Verschuren created the piece in the late 1990s. Photographs from 1998 document its presence in the neighbourhood. Stone gives the artwork a durable place within Holtenbroek’s local landscape. Zwolle’s wider tradition of public art connects this sculpture with the city’s visual environment.
