Perron West
Perron West is a community space in Utrecht’s Westplein area, centred on an old train carriage. The carriage stands a short walk from Utrecht Central Station. It brings neighbours, artists, entrepreneurs, and visitors together for meetings, workshops, cultural events, and shared creative activity. Adjustable tables support both reserved compartments and flexible workplace use.
The programme includes outdoor exhibitions, art markets, public art projects, and collaborations with The Creative Playground and Lucrative Dumpster Dives. Artists and local residents help shape works displayed outdoors. A residency programme supports interactive public works, workshops, and sustainable creative methods. The site becomes an open-air gallery for performances and installations.
Its interactive sculpture garden changes as inhabitants and passers-by add their own contributions over time. Music lessons also form part of the programme here. Berta García Sanz teaches cello through practical lessons combining yoga, chamber music, and orchestra audition preparation. Students are encouraged to make music from their first day of learning.

The myTuur app is free, and once you are standing at a spot its story starts by itself.
Spots like this one are the stops myTuur strings into tours through Utrecht. In the app, each story begins where you stand: walk up to a spot and it starts, read it on screen or listen as you go, then follow the route to the next one.
What is myTuur?
myTuur is a free city-guide app. Its tours are built from spots, and each spot carries a story that starts when you get there, to read or to listen to as you like.
