De Samenloop
De Samenloop is a land art relief by Paul de Kort in Utrecht’s Maximapark, set inside a young forest where several paths meet. A circular opening stretches across two small hills, placing you between natural terraces like an amphitheatre. Corten steel marks the curve, while grass, trees and the surrounding park form the artwork’s wider setting.
Created in 2015, the space transformed a former soil depot into a meeting place within the landscape. It became the eighth artwork in the Maximapark sculpture park, through cooperation between local organisations, residents and volunteers. Around 25,000 volunteer-planted trees surround the clearing, which can host small gatherings, music, yoga or quiet time outdoors.
The central park path winds through the forest before opening suddenly into this rust-coloured circle.

The myTuur app is free, and once you are standing at a spot its story starts by itself.
Spots like this one are the stops myTuur strings into tours through Utrecht. In the app, each story begins where you stand: walk up to a spot and it starts, read it on screen or listen as you go, then follow the route to the next one.
What is myTuur?
