Lumooli

Lumooli sits at number 6 on Walfischgasse in Germany, with colourful shelves and walls covered in tiny clothes. The small shop focuses on babies and toddlers. Carefully selected brands from the Netherlands, Denmark and England fill its rails. Bodysuits and T-shirts carry playful designs created by the owner, including the Keksvernichter and Ulm spätzle.

Many pieces can be personalised to order, including with a child’s name, which makes them distinctive gifts for births and other occasions. The selection also includes ideas for children’s rooms, objects for other parts of the home, and maternity clothing. Kimmel Bummel, a travelling children’s-book character, appears here through selected merchandise. The shop has grown from baby clothing into a place accompanying children from their first outfit to their first book.

A tiny bodysuit may show a biscuit eater or a plate of Ulm spätzle. Those two motifs turn everyday clothing into a family keepsake.

Spots like this one are the stops myTuur strings into tours through Ulm. In the app, each story begins where you stand: walk up to a spot and it starts, read it on screen or listen as you go, then follow the route to the next one.

What is myTuur?
