Gunzoburg

Gunzoburg stands as a medieval tower in Überlingen, where historic walls contain a gallery run by the International Bodensee Club, or IBC. Contemporary works occupy rooms within the old tower. Paintings, photographs, graphics, sculptures, and objects give those rooms varied forms and materials.

The IBC brings artists and art enthusiasts together across Germany, Austria, and Switzerland, promoting art and science around Lake Constance. The association took its official form in 1950. Postwar Lake Constance drew writers, painters, graphic artists, musicians, and theatre people into creative exchange. Its gallery programme includes member and guest exhibitions, as well as concerts, readings, lectures, and interdisciplinary events.

Exhibitions change regularly through solo and group presentations by artists from the three countries. One anniversary exhibition gathered circles, spheres, bowls, and plates under a shared artistic theme.
