Pfarrhaus
Pfarrhaus stands before you with a broad baroque form, a mansard hipped roof, and a prominent exterior staircase. The building’s core dates to 1695, while its visible structure and staircase took shape after 1761.
For centuries, the building served as the parish priest’s residence, workplace, and spiritual centre. During catastrophic floods, its rooms became emergency accommodation, meeting spaces, and a temporary doctor’s practice for people displaced by the water. Volunteers, parishioners, neighbours, and helpers gathered here as everyday life reorganised around mutual support.
That history remains visible in the contrast between the formal staircase and the practical welcome once offered behind the doors.

The myTuur app is free, and once you are standing at a spot its story starts by itself.
Spots like this one are the stops myTuur strings into tours through Trier. In the app, each story begins where you stand: walk up to a spot and it starts, read it on screen or listen as you go, then follow the route to the next one.
What is myTuur?
myTuur is a free city-guide app. Its tours are built from spots, and each spot carries a story that starts when you get there, to read or to listen to as you like.
