The Mausoleum of Kaldergach Bey stands in Tashkent, Uzbekistan, as a fifteenth-century monument built for remembrance. Its brick walls form an almost square footprint, measuring about 9.48 metres on each side. Inside, a compact six-metre square chamber gives the building balanced proportions.
Builders raised it during the first half of the fifteenth century, using bricks measuring approximately 25 by 25 by 5 centimetres. The structure combines an inner dome with a pointed outer dome divided into twelve sides. That double-dome arrangement contributes to stability and gives the building a distinctive silhouette. The place is also known as Qaldirgʻochbiy Mausoleum and the tomb of Hazrat Amir.
A restoration in 1970 renewed the dome while preserving the building’s historic appearance. Its modest scale lets you see the brickwork, square proportions, and twelve-sided crown at close range.
