Ходжа Ахрор Вали
Khodja Akhror Vali is a Friday mosque in Tashkent’s old city, surrounded by historic architecture. Its prayer hall and spacious layout reflect fifteenth-century Central Asian mosque design.
Built in 1451, the mosque became an important religious site for Tashkent’s Muslim community. Closure came at the beginning of the twentieth century, followed by restoration that preserved its traditional features and returned the building to Muslim worship.
Friday prayers connect the restored mosque with daily life, while nearby madrasas and mausoleums place it within Tashkent’s older architectural landscape.
