Ташкентский Юридический Институт

Tashkent Law Institute is a public university in Tashkent, Uzbekistan, dedicated to legal education, research, and professional training. Its roots reach back to a legal-studies department founded at Turkestan State University in 1918.

The institution became the Tashkent State Institute of Law in 1991, then a university in 2013. Teaching takes place in Uzbek, Russian, and English. Students study constitutional, civil, criminal, international, and business law at bachelor’s level. Master’s programmes extend into information technology, medicine, construction, and intellectual property.

A legal clinic gives students practical experience through free public assistance under teachers’ supervision. Its Information Resource Center holds about 300,000 books and periodicals, including Ivan Neumann’s 1814 work, The Initial Foundations of Criminal Law, and Kitab al Hidoya by Burhanuddin al-Marghinani.
