Theater Rampe
Theater Rampe in Stuttgart is a production house for contemporary theatre, performance, dance, and music. Its programme brings several artistic forms together.
Located in a historic rack railway depot, it makes the city’s Zacke part of its identity. The historic depot also shapes the theatre’s foyer.
Founded by Regula Gerber and Alexander Seer, Theater Rampe grew from an independent theatre into an ensemble institution. Its repertoire includes classic and new German drama.
It presents independent performing arts, author-led theatre, pop music, world premieres, author residencies, and experimental formats. Local groups and collectives find a long-term partner here.
National and international artists add collaborations to an interdisciplinary, participatory programme. The theatre organises festivals for independent performing arts.
Through these projects, Theater Rampe creates exchange among artists, experts, and the public. Stuttgart and Baden-Württemberg provide institutional support for this cultural work.
