358

The 358 is a cycling route around Marktoberdorf in Bavaria, not far from Schwangau. Across roughly 78 kilometres, you travel through fields, forests, gentle hills, small towns, and villages. Paved roads alternate with gravel and more natural stretches, giving the ride varied ground beneath your wheels. The landscape stays typically Bavarian, with open green countryside and wooded sections surrounding the route.

The route gains about 358 metres and descends approximately 361 metres, keeping its climbs moderate. Regular bicycles handle much of the course, while some unpaved sections suit mountain bikes better. As part of a regional network with more than 400 cycling routes, it connects everyday countryside with wider riding possibilities. You can pause in a small town, continue towards another route, or simply follow the changing scenery at a relaxed pace.

Marktoberdorf, home to around 18,000 people, forms the route’s regional centre. Here, a ride can shift from smooth pavement to gravel, then return to quiet roads between fields and forest.
