St George's Monastery

St George's Monastery stands near Saranda in southern Albania, an ancient Orthodox site with stone walls and simple, solid lines. Set away from the busiest parts of the city, it offers a quiet view of the region’s long religious tradition.

Albania recognises this monastery as a Cultural Monument, reflecting its historical and cultural value after years when religious sites faced damage or neglect under communist rule.
