Weisser Turm
Weisser Turm rises in the historic old town of Rheinfelden, Switzerland, among narrow, winding streets and closely spaced buildings. You encounter the tower on a self-guided walking route through the city’s architectural heritage.
The route reaches it soon after Burgstell, the site of the old castle, then continues towards Rheinmühle, Rathaus, towers and chapels. Defensive towers and gates once shaped this medieval town, while Weisser Turm now marks one of the old city layout’s important points. Signs along the walk connect the buildings and squares with Rheinfelden’s development.
Messerturm and Obertorturm appear nearby, alongside Johanniterkapelle and Stadtkirche St. Martin. From here, the twisting streets show how the historic centre links homes, public buildings and former defensive structures.
