Villa Arnim
Villa Arnim is a classicist villa in the heart of Potsdam, surrounded by the city’s historic architecture. Its grand rooms and symmetrical private garden create a formal setting reminiscent of nearby Schlosspark Sanssouci.
Ferdinand von Arnim designed the building between 1859 and 1860, then lived there as its architect. A master builder for the king, he also worked on the Friedenskirche in Sanssouci and the Norman Tower on Ruinenberg. The restored rooms and garden now host weddings, conferences, Christmas celebrations, and other private or business events. Individually designed apartments add kitchens and heated floors for overnight stays.
The villa stands close to the Friedenskirche and Schlosspark Sanssouci, linking its interior architecture with Potsdam’s royal landscape. Its clearest visual signature remains the garden’s precise symmetry beside the historic rooms.
