Sankt Antonius Kirche

Architect Wilhelm Fahlbusch designed the building as a rectangular hall with a full-width apse. The hall faces south because the plot determines the church’s orientation. Side pillars frame the altar space and suggest a triumphal arch beneath the flat wooden ceiling. Red brick outlines the narrow windows along both sides.
Beams cross above the central aisle, while additional windows illuminate the altar and apse mosaic. Pale sandstone forms the altar and tabernacle. The apse mosaic depicts the Adoration of the Lamb from the Book of Revelation. Its figures include Asian and African facial features.
The church received its solemn consecration in 1934. A bell tower rises from the building’s north-west corner. The parish supports a kindergarten and a school alongside its community work. Wheelchair access is recorded for the church.
