mini Siam
mini Siam is a landscaped miniature park in Thailand, where Thai and international landmarks share one walkable setting. Nearly one hundred carefully crafted replicas bring temples, towers, bridges and domes together. Every model follows a one-to-twenty-five scale, preserving architectural proportions while shrinking the distances between continents.
Kasem Kasemkietsakul founded the park after travelling widely and studying miniature parks such as Madurodam. The Democracy Monument became the first completed model and remains a visible starting point. Thai landmarks occupy one section, with royal temples, historic bridges and religious sites arranged among lawns and ponds. A narrow, serpentine water channel separates this area from the international section, where European towers, an American statue, an Australian opera house and monuments from Asia and Africa appear.
Paved paths lead between the replicas, with façades, columns and rooflines close enough for detailed viewing. Rest areas, a souvenir shop and parking sit among the landscaped grounds. Traditional dance performances occasionally connect the miniature architecture with living cultural traditions. After dark, lighting brings out textures across the models and gives bridges and waterfront buildings a different atmosphere. The Democracy Monument offers one lasting detail: a small replica that began the park’s larger architectural journey.
