Institut d'Études Politiques

Institut d'Études Politiques stands in the heart of Paris as a university devoted to political and social sciences. Its academic setting connects the city’s public life with teaching, research and debate. Founded by Émile Boutmy in the nineteenth century, Sciences Po emerged to provide higher education that French society then lacked.

The university brings together students from many countries and supports research through faculty, libraries and international partnerships. Parisian public institutions and the French National Centre for Scientific Research also belong to its wider network. Seven multicultural campuses extend this academic community beyond the capital, while dual degrees and public events connect study with international exchange and civic discussion.

Permanent faculty members prepare students to examine institutions, societies and political change. The place remains a forum where ideas meet public action.

What is myTuur?
