Nr. 10: Mann og gutt
Nr. 10: Mann og gutt is a statue in Oslo, created by the Norwegian sculptor Gustav Vigeland. It stands within Vigelandsparken, where public sculpture places human figures among the city’s cultural landmarks. Vigeland’s work explores family, human connection and the cycle of life through realistic figures and dynamic poses.
Gustav Vigeland also designed the park’s layout and architectural elements, extending the sculptural setting beyond individual works. Skilled assistants helped translate his models into finished pieces in granite and bronze. Nearby, the Vigeland Museum offers insight into his artistic process and Oslo’s public art tradition. Other recognisable works in the park include Sinnataggen, Monolitten and Livshjulet.
