Zeltnerschloss

Zeltnerschloss in Nuremberg is a cultural centre inside the historic Gleißhammer manor, built during the second half of the sixteenth century. The picturesque building stands on an island surrounded by a pond, giving concerts, exhibitions and workshops a distinctive setting.

Since 1985, the centre has brought together people from Gleißhammer, St. Peter and southeastern Nuremberg. Its programme includes summer concerts in the courtyard and terraces, changing exhibitions by regional artists, and the Live im Zeltner music series. Children can enjoy theatre from October to April and concerts in the castle garden during summer, while courses, creative workshops and lectures offer ways to take part. Groups and associations also use the rooms as a meeting place, alongside school projects, urban gardening and local initiatives.

The annual Christmas market fills the island with decorated stalls, seasonal treats, music groups and choirs.
