Kaiserstallung
Kaiserstallung stands in Nuremberg, within the Kaiserburg complex on a high sandstone rock above the city. The surrounding fortress once sheltered Holy Roman Emperors and German kings. Hans Beheim designed the building around 1494–95 as a large granary for the city. Imperial visits and diets later brought horses beneath its roof.
Today, the two-storey building houses a youth hostel and guesthouse, combining historic architecture with accommodation. Julius Lincke restored it in the mid-twentieth century. A lounge, dining hall, bistro, bar, seminar rooms, and event hall now occupy the adapted interior. Together with Luginsland Tower, its roofline shapes the distinctive silhouette of the castle front.

The myTuur app is free, and once you are standing at a spot its story starts by itself.
Spots like this one are the stops myTuur strings into tours through Nuremberg. In the app, each story begins where you stand: walk up to a spot and it starts, read it on screen or listen as you go, then follow the route to the next one.
